Wiston Lodge

When we got to Wiston Lodge we were welcomed in by Donald Scott. He was telling us all about the place and what time dinner was. I thought he was very kind. We got shown to our rooms and I got to go on a bunkbed. It was really cool in the rooms. At dinner we had chicken stew and it was nice and Tom was telling us very funny jokes. After, everyone went to the games hall, it was really good. I loved it. It had two pool tables, a little one and a king size one, even a table tennis table and a dart board. We played in there for an hour and then went to bed.

The next day we all got up and had our breakfast and we all went up Tinto Hill and it took us ages, but we got up in the end. Some of them didn't. Then we rolled down the hill and went back to the lodge. Then we went into the wood and then back to the lodge and did our work. In the afternoon we played games like `Pop The Balloon' and others. They were all really good. Then we sang a song and it was called 'A Goole Goole Goole Goole rumb tumb tumb'. I didn't like that. Then we watched a school trip video and went to bed.

The next day we went to New Lanark. When we got there we met a lady called Cathie White and she showed us around. It was brilliant. Me, Donald, Andrew and Ron went to the Falls of Clyde. It was so big and nice. There was a man fishing down there and we were shouting `Hello'. We saw a big water wheel and it was controlled by water. Then we went to lots of gift shops. Then we went back to Wiston Lodge. When we got back we had a treasure hunt. It was really fun. Then we went back to the Lodge. We watched The Rescuers Down Under Two. It was really funny.

The next day we went to Biggar Puppet Theatre. We watched a puppet play about the Loch Ness Monster. It was really funny. Then we went to have some ice creams. They were really delicious.

On Friday we played Earthball. The first game was for both teams to get the ball to the other side. The earth ball is a big round red ball. Then we set off to Oban and we stayed in Kilbowie Hostel. Then we had dinner and then we went to see the Coastguard Operations Room. We saw computers and we watched a film that was good. Then we went back to the Hostel and went to bed. We didn't go to sleep because the others kept hitting the walls. Then the next day we went back to Coll and went home. I loved that trip. It was brilliant and I enjoyed it very much.
