Coll Mother's Committee
 
The bonfire and fireworks night was held on Friday 5th. November. It was a great success with no great storms of wind and rain to dampen the spirits. The numbers of onlookers were this year swollen by the presence of a BBC film crew who had organised a film show and dance to follow the outdoor activities. A splendid guy was made by Fay Anderson and all who ventured out were able to indulge in hot dogs and punch, supplied as usual by Julie Oliphant. A collection raised for the committee funds.

A sale of work was held in the school on Saturday November 20th. This was very well attended and raised

The annual Christmas Party was held on Saturday 19th. December. A grand display of Christmas decorations made the hall look very festive and tables were laden with huge quantities of sandwiches, sausage rolls and cakes. Before sitting down to eat, Neil Morrison said grace and then the party began. Tea was followed by carol singing, accompanied by Lorna Barr on the keyboard. The school children entertained us with a delightful rendering of 'Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer' and `When Santa Came Down the Chimney'. Games for the children were next followed by ice cream for everyone. Then it was curtains up for the pantomime, produced by the Coll Players. Finally, father Christmas arrived, accompanied by helpers and a reindeer and all the children received a present.

On March 18th., a spring fun day was held. The children decorated eggs, decorated a cake and made Easter cards. There was an egg hunt and an obstacle race and a good time
