Teen View Number One … Summer 2000

A typical holiday in the ‘Isle of Coll”

A holiday in Coll for me is almost like going abroad. I love coming to Coll, actually it’s the highlight to my summer. I love the beaches, sea, people and the whole lifestyle, you can be so relaxed there.

One of my favourite moments of my summer in Coll this year was being chosen for Fishing Queen. When I was first asked I was glad to do it because I had come to Coll so often I was made to feel a part of it. I really enjoyed being Fishing Queen because I was Gala Queen for my home town before I came to Coll, so I was quite happy to be two queens in a year. I enjoyed giving prizes out and kissing a few people was not too bad either. But it was also fun and I got to be the Fishing Queen for the Millennium so that was good.

But apart from being Fishing Queen I really like the people. They are so friendly not just to me but to each other. And I have got a lot of friends in Coll too, like Sarah Oliphant Iain Fraser and lots more and they make me feel so welcome. We have a good holiday together. We do lots of fun stuff like jumping off the piers, camping out on the beaches also going to the Coll dances. It is just really fun.

So really coming to Coll for me is a real bonus since I enjoy it so much. I would advise it to anyone to come because Coll couldn’t get any betting in the Summer. It has got perfect people and beaches and you are guaranteed a fun holiday.

When Tammy contacted me to write about a holiday in Coll I was happy and honoured to do it. Unfortunately I cannot come up this summer because I will be in Boston but I will be sure to be up next year! K.T.
