One summers's day a townee visitor reported at Friesland that she had spoken to a sturdy lamb near the shore, which had put down its head and run at her. The more she protested and retreated, the more determinedly the lamb pursued her, head down, seemingly for attack. Finally the alarmed visitor ignominously ran. To her chagrin, she was told the lamb was blind, a hand reared pet which, hearing the voice, expected to be fed with "nuts". Full of remorse, the visitor planned to make amends. Off to the shop she went - and asked for a bag of unsalted peanuts!
