The 66th Annual Coll Agricultural and Horticultural Society Show was held on Friday 7th August 1987. As is expected of this event it was well supported and there was a general increased level of participation from last year.
The Dairy and Home Produce Classes were judged by Mrs Love, of Balligown, who gave some valuable advice to those exhibiting, and particularly commended the quality and quantity of the bread entries. Once again Mrs C. MacKinnon won both the Challenge & Industrial Cup for baking and the Scones and Pancakes Cup. Mrs M. Toole took the Challenge Cup for most First prizes.
Miss F. MacDonald of Oban judged the Handcrafts, which was deservingly won by Mrs L. English.
Mr D. Harrison returned after an absence of a number of years to judge the Horticultural Section. He also gave a valuable evaluation of the entries and some useful advice for future exhibitors. Once again Mrs C. Brodie won the Horticultural Cup, and shared the Cristina MacFadyen Rosebowl with Mrs K. Taylor. A Cup was presented in memory of Mr Alastair Oliphant for roses which was won by Mrs A. MacQuarrie.
The Sheep Classes were judged by Mr D. MacDermid, of Ben Lawers, and Mr Colin Kennedy took all of the Trophies except for the Shears for Cross Bred Sheep which were won by Mr A. Brodie.

One of the highlights of the Show was an Exhibition of Photographs, Coll Past and Present.
