Coll-achs

We lost lain MacLean on April 1 st after a painful illness born with courage and patience. Everyone has a special memory of lain. As Postmaster he added a light touch to the serious business of pensions and postal orders; as respected Special Constable he was diplomatic and compassionate. His fine voice led the Free Church congregation in the Psalms on Sundays. On dreich Monday mornings he humorously sold us "monkey" or "giraffe" in McLean's Stores. We shall all miss his sense of fun, but, above all, his warm kindness will long be remembered.

Cathie and John have suffered deep loss and have our sincere sympathy. We have, as a community, lost someone who was a special asset and Coll is the poorer for his passing.
