American Express...

From the puncture to the tea
We will ramble by the sea.
Marching along, you and me,
In the spririt of UMD*

We are proud of our driver, Terry,
For all the things he did to keep us merry,
From Birmingham to Oban's ferry
And all the baggage he had to carry.

Stretching hands from the USA,
They went shopping everyday,
And when it came the time to pay,
They used plastic all the way.

Katie Morag was there to meet us.
The Coast Guard came to greet us.
Billy was the sweetiest
When he gave us the van to seat us.

*UMD stands for the University of Minnesota in Duluth, Minnesota, the sponsor of our trip.

This party from Minnesota. USA, visited Coll in possibly the largest coach to ever arrive on the island. Naturally, it got stuck in a ditch at the East End and became something of a tourist attraction - except to the American ladies. After many failed attemps to shift it with various tractors, Frank extricated it almost single handed - the other hand was delivering the post.
