Eilean Cholla d'an tug mi luaidh,                            0 Isle of Coll which I adore,
Far an d'fhuair mi m'arach nuair bha mi phais-          And where as a child I was reared,

'S tugheibh cheud aite gu brath'nam smuain.           Your shores are angry when the elements,
L,e aoigh's le solar gu seinn mi oran                       with horror,
Do'n site's boidche learn fhin fo'n ghrein;                 Lash around your land, but they are beautiful
'S to Eilean Cholla ni mise mholadh                         and comely
An t-eilean mollach d'an tug mi speis                      With the peace of the summer;
                                                                      And to be among the people would awaken
                                                                      longing.
