Danger at High Tide

Danger at High Tide.

Neil Kennedy.

One stormy black night a big old wooden ship was being tossed and turned in the raging sea. She was heading North. She was going to ground herself on the beach. You could hear the crew shouting HELP a mile away while I was watching from a window. The men jumped off the battered ship while others stayed on the ship and went back to their cabins. Next day they had left the ship.

Next day I could make out the scratched name, it was the Harmony.

Over the years she rotted away and collapsed and she is still there on Gorton beach today
