Deaths

It is with great regret we have to record the very sudden deaths within 5 days of each other of George Buckland, on Coll on Wednesday March 25th 1987, and Alastair Oliphant, in Oban, on Sunday March 29th 1987.

The island will take long to recover from the shock of their tragic deaths at a time which should have been one of celebration for the birth of Vivienne and George's daughter, Ivy, and of congratulation on the recent marriage of Alastair to Louise.

Our heartfelt condolences go to all the members of the Oliphant, Buckland and Collier families.
