SHETLANDS IN COLL
They brought us here from square green fields And straw filled stables, busy roads and padlocked gates With winters spent on frosted ground And lush green Summer meadows out of bounds. Driven up and down the motorway Shampooed and brushed, winning prizes. Getting bored, growing fat, very lazy.
Think we'd rather be Soaking wet with wind-torn manes. But free to choose where to hide And what to eat Scrambling up and down the rocks Splashing in and out of water There is no time to be Bored or far or even lazy.
