The School Notebook Arinagour Primary School: Calendar 1998 - 99
August: It's a new school year, a new term and a new teacher! Welcome Miss Allan! (Picture by Jamie Henderson)
September: We made puppets and a movie with Lizzie MacDougall of Moving Arts'. (Picture by Sophie Buchan)
October: Time for Harvest and Hallowe'en. At the Hallowe'en party for all the children we 'bobbed' for apples, played games and had a fancy dress parade. Ross (who was dressed as a clown) won the prize. (Picture by Helena Porrelli)
November: 'Hi Ho, Hi Ho - it's off to Tiree we go'. Primaries 4-7 went on a three day trip to Tiree to take part in activities for the National Year of Reading. (Picture by Faye Munro)
December: At 'Carols by Candlelight' the Primary and Pre 5 children entertained family and friends with carols old and new and their nativity, 'The Little Angel'. (Picture by Helena Porrelli)
January: We said 'farewell' to Steven who left for Cardiff with his Mum. (Picture by Finlay John Porrelli)
February: We held a fund-raising 'non-uniform' day in aid of UNICEF (picture by Sophie Buchan)
March: We said 'Hello and welcome' to Calum and Kenneth who have come to live in the New Castle.
April: Another musical performance! This time the Primary children and the pre 5 group performed the 'Tiny Bird' at the Easter Concert. (Picture by Sophie Buchan)
May: It's the School Funday and Picnic on the beach.
June: Primaries 4 - 7 visit Edinburgh for their school trip. Good luck to Calum as he leaves for Oban High School. (Picture by Arny Mitchell, now living in Gillingham. Dorset) |
