A Poem
Stretching across the field of your vision Quivering and trembling as the breeze requests Rising and falling is the moons decision Timeless and powerful, the sea has no rest
With summer it sparkles, clear crystal water The sun lingers long in the warm summer night Finally departing long after it ought to Leaving shimmering fire as the last of its light.
Leaden grey skies herald the onset of winter Dull, cool water, the waves look like slate The surf is insistent, it no longer whispers Swells are now building, waves cannot wait
White tops are forming, surf rises tall Whilst heavier rollers prepare out of reach To batter and thunder the shore without warning Spilling and boiling their rage on the beach.
A hint of warm weather between the storms? Is winter over and spring on the way? The swells are subsiding and chaos is resting The sea is subdued in Ballyhogh bay.
