NEW PETROL PUMPS
The island now has its own brand new and completely upgraded, community-owned fuel supply. New fuel pumps were installed at a cost of £70,000 with the help of grants from Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Argyll and Bute Council. The new fuel facility became operational on April 15th after an uncomfortable 'dry period' during which the upgrading work was carried out. Then the champagne bottles popped and the television cameras rolled and petrol was on tap again. |
